Q: Can I take your products while breastfeeding?
A: Because studies during breastfeeding are limited, it would be best to talk to your doctor about whether or not it would be safe to take our or any supplements at the same time. Generally nutrient products like Truvy Dailies and Truvy Shake are fine, but others we cannot recommend due to lack of safety studies. If you need the ingredient lists, check out our back office if you have access, or send an email into productquestions@truvy.com and we can provide you with the information that you need.
Q: Can I take a multivitamin while taking the weight loss combos?
A: Yes. In fact, we recommend Truvy Dailies for men or women. They provide important nutrients and other beneficial ingredients that will support your health.
Q: Are your products gluten free, vegan, non-GMO, plant based, 100% natural, etc.?
A: The majority of our supplements are gluten free with the exception of reNU and Balance. During testing, reNU and Balance have occasionally registered gluten content to be detectable, though it is a very small amount. Usually those products are gluten free. Some of our products are not vegan as they use a bovine gelatin capsule, though most of our products now use a vegan capsule. The majority of our ingredients are plant based and natural. Our Truvy Shake uses whey protein from milk.
Q: What capsule in Truvy Dailies contains wheat? Does it contain gluten?
A: There is a small amount of a wheat starch derived ingredient used in the shell of the two red softgels.
When wheat starch is produced, the protein (including gluten) has been removed. The ingredient tests at less than 20 ppm of gluten (20 ppm is the detection limit of the test, meaning none was detected, but still may contain a trace). Because it is a wheat derived ingredient, we claim on our Dailies box that it contains wheat by law. However, it is unlikely to cause a gluten sensitivity at such a low amount, if gluten is present at all.
Q: Is there any iodine in any product?
A: Yes, we do have some products that contain iodine: vitaFIX gummies and Truvy Dailies.
Q: Are there any nut or soy-based ingredients?
A: The majority of our products do not have any soy or nut-based ingredients. The one product that includes a nut-based ingredient is reNU. It has black walnuts in it, so those with a tree nut allergy should avoid reNU. If you have questions about specific ingredients, look at our ingredient pages in your back office or email product support at productquestions@truvy.com.
Q: Is the cayenne fruit used in reNU the same that is in cayenne pepper?
A: Yes, the cayenne fruit is the same as cayenne pepper.
Q: Are there any citric or oxalates in the products?
A: Some of our products do have citric acid in them. The products with citric acid are H+H, Truvy Boost drinks, truSLUMBER and VitaFIX and Calm gummies.
Some of our products also have oxalates in them. Some of the ingredients we use can have very small amounts, such as cocoa powder, cocoa butter, beet juice powder, and black walnut. The products that contain one or multiple of these are Vy Boost, Vy, Vy Boost drinks, and reNU.
Q: In reNU, it has cascara sagrada. Is this harmful for long term use?
A: The maximum recommended amount per day is 300 mg and is not recommended to take longer than 1-2 weeks. Our reNU has about half of the recommended dose. This lower dose means you can take it longer for it benefits with a lower possibility of negative side effects. Currently we do not have any long-term studies for the use of cascara sagrada at the dose that we use. We do have customers that take it every day, while others take it for shorter periods, take a break, then take it again. It depends on how your body will react to it. We recommend you do what is best for you to get the results you are hoping for.
Q: Is it okay for my kids to take your products?
A: We recommend that anybody taking our products be 18 years or older. The H&H drinks, Truvy Shake and VitaFIX gummies are okay for kids, but the rest of our products were not designed for children.
Q: I am confused on how to take reNU? Could you give me any advice on that?
A: We recommend that you take two capsules at night before you go to bed. Take the supplement for two weeks then take a two-week break. This is to help stimulate the body’s elimination ability, followed by a break. Many people also like to take one capsule of ReNU daily for maintenance. Either usage is fine.
Q: Where can I find ingredient information for the products?
A: We are currently updating our website to provide more information for our customers about our products and their ingredients. In the meantime, you can find information in your back office, or feel free to send in questions to our product questions email, productquestions@truvy.com.
