Q: What is the difference between Vy Boost™ and Vy™?
A: The main difference between the two is that the Octodrine HCl in truCONTROL has been replaced in Vy with theobromine and Rauwolscine.
- Theobromine is similar to caffeine in structure and function. Theobromine supports the nervous system, specifically the brain, which helps to maintain a healthy metabolism and provides energy.
- Rauwolscine is one the key ingredients in Vy. It is a great stimulant that helps to increase thermogenesis and helps the body to maintain a healthy weight by supporting metabolism and energy production.
Q: How much caffeine is in the Vy Boost™ combo and the new Tru/Vy combo?
A: Each capsule of Vy, Vy Boost and each sachet of Vy Boost drink contains 60 mg of caffeine plus other stimulant ingredients. We are glad to hear you are working with your physician, as our stimulant products should be used under a physicians observation when any medical conditions are present or medications used.
Tru and TruFIX do not contain caffeine. They are designed to help support healthy blood sugar, so may impact any medications related to blood sugar.
Heart and Hydration plus contains 100 mg of caffeine per sachet, but no other stimulants. Regular Heart & Hydration does not contain caffeine.
All other Truvy products, including Dailies, Shake, ReNU and others, do not contain caffeine or other stimulants.
Q: Are the capsules used in the products vegan?
A: Not all of them are, yet. Some of our product’s capsules are made out of bovine gelatin. Our new Truvy and Vy Boost combos are made with a plant-based cellulose (HPMC) capsule that makes the product vegan. We are in the process of switching our other products over to the HPMC capsule which will make the majority of our products vegan.
Q: Can I take a multivitamin while taking the weight loss combos?
A: Yes. In fact, we recommend Truvy Dailies for men or women. They provide important nutrients and other beneficial ingredients that will support your health.
Q: I am concerned about the Octodrine HCl in a couple of your products. Could I get more info on that?
A: Octodrine (DMHA) is used as a performance enhancing compound. It has a similar structure to amphetamines and can sometime result in a false positive for amphetamines on drug tests. It is a catecholamine reuptake inhibitor that inhibits the receptors that recycle dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine. This allows the body to be able to use more of these monoamines, which helps to provide energy and increased focus. It also inhibits the monoamine oxidase (MAO) enzyme which degrades the monoamines.
We have received a few reports of false positives on some drug tests for our Vy capsules, Truvy Boost capsules and Truvy Boost drinks. You should avoid taking these products several days before a drug test, or if you receive regular or random drug testing, you may not be able to take them. We are working on removing the ingredients that cause these false positives, and should have updated products later this year.
All other Truvy products, including Tru, ReNU, Truvy Dailies, Truvy Shake, Heart & Hydration, and others, are fine to take all the time.
Q: There have been some suggestions that Truvy drink mixes should be consumed within 30 min after mixed with water. Is this true?
A: Yes, there have been recommendations for the 30 minutes time frame but that is only because the active ingredient start to separate out, but if you just shake or mix it up again it is just fine. Really, the best amount of time to drink it in would be what the consumer finds works best for them to get the desired results and that can be faster or slower depending on the person. Your time frame is perfectly fine. If you expect it will take more than an hour or two to drink, however, we recommend it be refrigerated.
Q: Are there any citric or oxalates in the products?
A: Some of our products do have citric acid in them. The products with citric acid are H+H, Truvy Boost drinks, truSLUMBER and VitaFIX and Calm gummies.
Some of our products also have oxalates in them. Some of the ingredients we use can have very small amounts, such as cocoa powder, cocoa butter, beet juice powder, and black walnut. The products that contain one or multiple of these are Vy Boost, Vy, Vy Boost drinks, and reNU
Q: Are the weight loss combos considered thermogenic?
A: Yes, some of the main ingredients help to boost metabolism and breakdown fats which is the criteria for a thermogenic agent. This makes those products thermogenic.
Q: Is there a special diet that I need to follow when using the weight loss combos?
A: We have a few different products that can help with weight loss. That combos help to reduce appetite, increase fat burning, and increase energy. We encourage you to participate in our 10k Pledge, our TruTransformation challenges and use our Truvy Fit app to track your eating and use workouts to help you increase your activity. We also encourage to you to join our fitness and diet Facebook groups for motivation and tips.
Q: I am interested in the ingredient bitter orange, what is it and what does it do?
A: Bitter orange is the source of a compound called p-synephrine. We use it mainly as an ingredient to help kickstart lipolysis in the body to aid in weight loss. It works in conjunction with some of the other ingredients that aid in the breakdown of fats and aid in weight loss.
Q: What is the difference between truIGNITE, Gen 1, Gen 2 Weight and Energy, Vy Boost, and Vy?
A: All of those products are similar. They represent a progression of products over time. Gen 1 and Gen 2 are precursors to Vy Boost (truCONTROL) and are meant to be taken the same, with Tru. They are all weight loss products, and the efficacy improves with the newer products. For example, Vy is more efficient than Vy Boost, which is more efficient than Gen 2, which is more efficient than Gen 1. truIGNITE, also known as truCONTROL with Dynamine, is the same as truCONTROL but instead of Octodrine HCl (DMHA) it has Dynamine (Methylliberine) instead.
We recommend taking the currently available product for the best result.
Q: Would taking your weight loss combo out of their package and putting them in a weekly vitamin case reduce its potency?
A: If the container you transfer them to can be sealed, then it will be okay. It is not recommended that they are left in an open container for longer than a few days, as any excess moisture in the air could start to break down the capsules or affect the ingredients.
Q: What is the difference between Tru and truFIX?
A: Both Tru and truFIX are the same in all aspects except for one. Tru has 100% more (double) the amount of Chlorogenic Acids extracted from green coffee beans. This helps Tru to work more effectively with Vy or Vy Boost in supporting the body’s ability to manage blood sugar and other aspects of healthy blood chemistry.
Q: What is blood chemistry?
A: Blood is a complex mixture of red blood cells, white blood cells and plasma. Red blood cells carry oxygen from the lungs to your cells. White blood cells are part of your immune system. Plasma contains and delivers all of the other chemistry that your body’s cells need to grow and thrive. Having the right balance in your blood plasma means healthy blood sugar, healthy blood antioxidants, and a healthy cardiovascular system, which carries your blood throughout your body. So, when we say blood chemistry, we are really talking about helping your blood plasma do its job while protecting your cardiovascular system from damage during the process.
Q: Why doesn’t all of the powder dissolve in Truvy Boost Drink?
A: Truvy Boost drink contains many active ingredients, and some of them may not dissolve completely. Shaking on occasion while enjoying the drink will help, but even if a small amount of the powder doesn’t dissolve completely, you are still getting all of the benefits of the product. We also plan to improve dissolution with future improvements to the product.
Q: What is the powder at the bottom of my Truvy Boost Drink and how can I help it dissolve better?
A: Our Truvy Boost drink mix is a great mix for those wanting to use our products as well as a good source for hydration! Some have noticed that when they mix their drink mix into water, a small amount of the powder settles at the bottom. There are many factors that can contribute to the powder at the bottom of the bottle, including the type of ingredients in the product, the temperature of the water, and how much of the drink mix is present, and others. This powder is nothing harmful and can be reduced or removed in a few different ways. We also plan to improve dissolution with future improvements to the product.
(1) Shake it up each time before you take a sip. This helps to move the water around and can actually help that extra powder to dissolve into the water or disperse in the water.
(2) Another way is to try using room temperature water to first mix it with before cooling, as the warmer the water, the easier it is for the ingredients to dissolve.
(3) Even if a small amount doesn’t dissolve, you are still getting all of the benefits of the product and you can discard the extra.
