What equipment do I need to do the Truvy Fit workouts?
There are workouts in the Truvy Fit app that can be done with no equipment at all. Some workout programs require simple equipment such as mini resistance bands, dumbbells, a step, or elevated surface. You can find ways to substitute exercise equipment by tapping the “i” icon next to an exercise and swiping through the coaching tips. You can also find more equipment substitutions by clicking on “Learn” in the fitness section of the app.
I have an injury or feel pain when I do “x” exercise
You are welcome to skip or modify any exercise in the workouts by tapping on the forward arrow on the top right of the screen. Do what you can, but never push through pain. The Truvy Fit app is not tailored to any specific health conditions. Upon signup, there is a usage agreement stating that you should consult with your personal health care provider before embarking on changes to your physical activity or nutrition. It is your responsibility to check with your healthcare provider prior to using the Truvy Fit app to determine that you are healthy enough to participate in a fitness program and to ensure that you are receiving the most current and relevant information applicable to your personal situation. You can skip any exercises within a workout that your health care provider says you should avoid by tapping on the forward arrow in the top right of the workout screen.

I can’t log into the app
This is likely happening due at least one of the following – logging in with your email address instead of your Truvy username or ID number, or you have a ~ or # symbol in your password.
If you are logging in using your Truvy username or ID number, you may need to change your password. We are aware that passwords that include the specific characters: # and ~ are unable to log into the Truvy Fit app. We are working to get this resolved, but in the meantime, you can log into the Truvy Fit app by changing/updating your account password to one that does not include these characters.
You can do so here: https://office2.truvy.com/app.html#/ProfileSetting/Account
This will change your login for the Truvy website, the Truvy Shop app, and the Truvy Fit app.
If your password does not contain a special character and you are still running into problems logging in, please email fit@truvy.com and the team will be happy to assist you.
How to Manually Add Workouts
The Truvy Fit app will only automatically track workouts that are done from the Truvy Fit workout library in the fitness section once you complete the video series. External workouts are not automatically recorded, but you can add them to the app in your profile by tapping on "Workouts Completed" > click "Add Data" in the upper right corner > tap the date on the calendar you want to log an exercise for then type the exercise name and duration > click "Save & Add".
How to Manually Enter Food
When you go to search for a food item you see a button at the bottom of the search screen that says "Can't find your tasty morsel? Enter it here", if you tap on that, you can enter the calorie and macro information manually from the nutrition label.
How to Add Foods to Favorites
You can add foods to your favorites by searching for a food item, clicking on it to open the food item, then tapping the star icon you’ll see next to the name of the food.

How does the app account for calories burned during exercise in the nutrition diary?
Some nutrition apps have you “eat back” the calories you burn during exercise from the readings it gets from your fitness tracking device. The Truvy Fit app accounts for your calories burned in a slightly different way.
Truvy Fit currently uses the Harris-Benedict formula along with a calorie modifier algorithm according to reported activity levels from daily exercise and job type as well as accounting for a person’s weight goal from their nutrition survey.
The reason we do not rely on the calories burned during exercise from your fitness tracker, smart watch, or exercise equipment is because they do not track calories very accurately and studies show that those devices tend to overestimate calorie burn by 27-98%. In terms of “eating back” the calories burned during exercise like in some other apps, it could cause a person to inadvertently consume more calories than they should thus hindering them from their goal.
That is why we currently rely on the Harris-Benedict formula along with a calorie modifier algorithm in the Truvy Fit app.
